Exactly 92 years ago, two young animators from Illinois named Walt and Roy Disney went to Los Angeles to start their own studio. Today, the studio is known as Walt Disney Pictures, which has since then produced classic animation movies like Cindrella, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book, and Fantasia, among others.
Now, Disney has released a short video revealing the magical moments of Walt Disney animation over these 92 years. Featuring snippets from The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, Pinocchio, The Beauty and the Beast, it goes deep into the magic of animation, which started with a black-and-white Mickey Mouse 92 years ago.
Disney’s official Twitter account celebrated the studio’s 92nd birthday by posting a time-lapse video of Eric-Goldberg’s sketches. From Frozen’s Olaf to Aladdin’s genie, Goldberg’s character sketches in this video serves as a memorable tribute to Disney's 92nd birthday.
