As emergency alerts were issued for Hurricane Florence in the US, everyone made finding shelter their first priority. Everyone except this man, who decided to do something fun but very dangerous.

Tied to a parachute, the man went kite surfing as the storm raged around him. The video is from Nag Heads, North Carolina, which avoided the entire brunt of the storm.

“In hurricane conditions right now, well at least the waves are incredibly high, as Florence gets closer and closer to our coast,” the man filming the video said, adding, “this is exactly what emergency management does not want to see”.
