After the NASA video of Hurricane Florence taken from outer space, another video, this time by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), provided a terrifying close-up of the storm.
A team in a special four-engine aircraft of the US Air Force, called Hurricane Hunters, flew in and out of the eye of the hurricane to provide data on the speed, intensity and structure of the storm for the National Hurricane Center of the US.
Florence, now downgraded to a category 2 hurricane, is expected to cause massive rainfall in the US states of North and South Carolina, Virginia and others after it makes landfall on Thursday.
