During President Ram Nath Kovind’s official visit to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, a Czech orchestra’s effort to bring in a bit of Indian culture left him pleasantly surprised.
The India-Czech Sinfonietta Orchestra held a special concert for the President at a reception by the Indo-Czech Association in Prague and performed soulful renditions of evergreen Hindi films songs by Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi.
The show began with the Indian national anthem being played by the orchestra, conducted by Kolkata-born Debashis Chowdhry. Kovind shared videos of the performances on his twitter account and commended the orchestra.
