For children in Kathgodam in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, the journey to school has become a risky one.
With the bridge over the river Gaula having collapsed four months ago because of torrential rains, locals cross the torrents using a makeshift ropeway, which is obviously dangerous, particularly for the schoolchildren who are forced to utilise it to get to school (video above).
Some students even walk across the river because the ropeway cannot take their weight, ANI reported.
