Even amidst the deaths, destruction and disruption caused by the Kerala floods, there has been a continuous flow of stories of courage and human support to the affected. Rescuers in particular have been working tirelessly to save people marooned by the floods.
One such story, documented in the video above, shows Indian army personnel rescuing a man with a prosthetic leg in Kerala. Five officers helped the man climb down a ladder from the first floor of a house.
“Wherever you are #wewillsaveyou,” said the caption to the video posted by the Army. However, the post did not mention exactly where the rescue was carried out.
