Amidst mounting trouble from investigations into his Russian connections, US President Donald Trump sought validation from crowds at a rally in Ohio over the weekend. While several aspects of the rally were in the news, what TV show host Stephen Colbert found most interesting was the “new look” that Trump unveiled.
Colbert pointed out that the President’s face was glossier and had more shimmer on it, instead of his usual deep bronze, and said, “Dear god! His face looks like a bike reflector!.”
Trump attempted to explain his glow by claiming it was 110 degrees (43 degrees Celsius) in the room, but Colbert was not having any of it.
“It was 1,000 degrees in New York this weekend, and I didn’t come home looking like the dead girl in Goldfinger,” he said. “I know for a fact that that’s makeup.”
He then took it a step further and created a hilarious video of what he claimed was the way to achieve the Trump look, using a combination of makeup products like a bronzer and a highlighter.
