The songs of American singer-songwriter Jim Reeves still make the best of lists of country and pop music, and his fandom has actually grown over the years as new generations discover his music.
Several of his memorable songs have got their own cover versions over the decades, but one of the recent ones has everyone in raptures. Manipuri singer Jajai Singsit’s rendition of Reeves’s May the Good Lord Bless And Keep You has gone viral on social media, with listeners observing that his voice resembles the original singer’s closely.
Singsit has amassed quite a following online with his covers of other popular songs (including Don Williams’s You’re my Best Friend) getting thousands of views.
