Fresh from the successful rescue of the football team stuck in a cave in Thailand, members of the rescue team were hailed as heroes once again when they lent a hand to rescue people affected by the collapse of a dam in the neighbouring Laos.

As the video above shows, the rescue team checked the area around the village of Xaydonkhong and managed to rescue fourteen people, including a pregnant woman and an infant. Videos and pictures of them carrying the survivors to safety soon went viral.

“We found three families together, they ate bamboo shoots but there were not many and they were hungry,” Kengkard Bongkawong, one of the Thai rescuers told AFP.
