Hundreds of Parisians were witnesses to a spectacular show of tightrope-walking when French artist Tatiana-Mosio Bongonga walked on a wire 35 metres above the ground on Sunday.
The cable on which she balanced was suspended from a crane at the base of the city’s hilly Montmartre district, and there was no security equipment, which meant palpitations for the audience. Bongonga’s performance was accompanied by a chamber orchestra.
She prepared for this particular walk for a year, and has been walking the tightrope since the age of eight.
