Polish academic and political scientist Jerzy Targalski was on live television during the Dutch news show Nieuwsuur on NTR, discussing the very serious subject of the ouster of Poland’s top Supreme Court judge, when his cat decided it was playtime.
Named Lisio, the cat started subtly, pawing Targalski’s shoulder. What happened afterwards is there for the world to see in the video above, posted on twitter by Nieuwsuur’s Rudy Bouma.
This wasn’t the first time Targalski’s cats derailed his interview or tried to steal the show. Lisio and another cat made a similar appearance during an interview recently with Polish broadcaster Telewizja Republika (video below).
Social media has now declared Targalski a “good man” because his cat loves him so much, and believe the cat deserves his own show.
