No description will suffice for this video. It truly has to be seen to be believed. A man in Tokyo is walking his tortoise on the city's streets. And for some strange reason, we are provided an insight into the animal's mind. It's his voice that accompanies the video.
Perhaps it's the tortoise walking the man and not the other way around. Happily, the tortoise is unfazed by everything on the street: barking dogs, people touching it, oncoming traffic. Perhaps, this is a zen lesson to keep calm within the confines of a fast-paced city.
The tortoise walker – 62-year-old Hisao Mitani – attained viral fame in 2015. The childless funeral director named the tortoise after the festival of Ubon because his wife brought home the unique 70 kg pet during the festival.
