Apparently there's nothing India's Test captain Virat Kohli cannot do. When India launches a new football tournament – the five-a-side Premier Futsal League – it's Kohli and not a footballer whom the sponsors call on to publicise the event.
From there to getting his groove on AR Rahman’s tunes is, presumably, a case of natural progression. He is reported to have recorded a song for the Premier Futsal League with Rahman, with some rapping thrown in as well.
The song is titled Naam Hai Futsal, and was recorded at Rahman’s very own Chennai studio. This clip is a sneak peek and the official release is coming soon. Now you know what Kohli was doing when given a break from India's tour of Zimbabwe .
Till then, here he is, dancing to a Telugu song with his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates (while a disreputed character or two watch).
Turns out today's Indian cricketers have a much higher dancing mojo than their predecessors. Here's Ravindra Jadeja with Dwayne Bravo.
For comparison, you just have to watch Sachin Tendulkar and his peers with Shah Rukh Khan at the Sahara India Sports awards. On second thoughts, don't.
The honourable exception, though, is Kapil Dev. Look at him break into Gangam Style.
And to wrap it all up, some Kuthu Dance by Chennai Super Kings.
