Ever wondered what Kerala looks like from a bird's point of view, in glorious 4K ultra high definition, in slow motion and accompanied by a thumping soundtrack?

A video by the TheQuadCamBros, or TQCB, shows you just that.

This creative studio that operates out of Kochi, Kerala, combines the skills of filmmakers, technology experts and pilots to capture popular places from a different perspective. The team plans to make aerial videos of 70 countries.

When they set up shop in 2013, one of the first videos they uploaded was of a church in Pulinkunnoo, an island village in Kerala that hosts the annual Rajiv Gandhi Trophy boat race.

Since then, they have gone on to capture aerial shots of iconic places and events in the state, from the Nehru Trophy Boat Race in Alappuzha to the Kochi Metro.

“The idea came to us when we were at Alappuzha beach and wanted to take a different kind of photograph, so we put a phone in burst mode and threw it in the air hoping to get a new angle,” said Vishnu Sankar, who started this project along with Linto Mathew. “It didn’t work, but it set us thinking, and after researching compact cameras, we eventually settled on a copter.”
