The beleagured Vijay Mallya may not be the official owner of the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise anymore, but that doesn't mean he's not enjoying the "good times".
The 60-year-old former chairman of United Spirits Limited is currently seeking refuge in the United Kingdom, with various Indian agencies trying to extradite him on charges of money-laundering. A consortium of 17 banks led by the State Bank of India has also taken him to court for not repaying loans worth Rs 9,000 crore.
Before the start of the 2016 Indian Premier League season, Mallya stepped down as director of the Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore, but remained the so-called "chief mentor" of the team.
However, it doesn't look like he's too worried. His son Siddharth Mallya posted a video on social media showing the former liquor baron cheering RCB as the team played in the IPL final. "Go RCB," he declared, visibly in good spirits, as his son panned the camera to him. The flamboyant billionaire has been dismissive of all allegations against him and, going by the video, it doesn't really seem that he is too concerned.
