Indian-American child prodigy Tanishq Abraham is going places. All of 12, the doctor in waiting has also received acceptance letters from two University of California campuses – Santa Cruz and Davis – to study engineering. It's all in a day's work for the young academician who completed three college degrees in 2015 at the tender age of 11.
Here is a video featuring an interview with Tanishq and his 10-year-old sister Tiara Abraham, who is also something of a child prodigy.
In an interview to NBC, Abraham said, "I’ve been waiting for this for quite some time now. I’ll finally be working on my bachelor’s. It’s very exciting."
Two years ago, Abraham, who was born in 2003 and scored 99.9 per cent in a Mensa IQ test, gave a TedX Talk where he said, "You might ask why college at 7, but the real question might be why not college at 7?" He also spoke about how his fascination for learning began with dinosaurs and space.
However, not all geniuses fall into the "Serious Nerd" archetype. Here's Abraham telling some hilarious science jokes that he hopes Conan will understand.
