It's not exactly been the most exciting of Indian Premier League seasons so far. Fortunately, there have been a few exciting moments. In case you were blinking during them, here are five of the best:

5. The yorker from hell

The wiry 20-year old Mustafizur Rahman from Bangladesh has been one of Sunrisers Hyderabad's stars this season, foxing batsmen with his cutters. But his best moment so far was undoubtedly a throwback to older times – a toe-crushing, rip-stinging yorker which brought Kolkata Knight Riders' Andre Russell to his knees.

4. The audacious reverse scoop

That Sarfaraz Khan. Just turned 18 but as cocksure and audacious as they come. Here he is, in full flow for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the video above against Hyderabad's Bhuvneshwar Kumar. A picture-perfect yorker on the off stump is calmly reverse-scooped away for six. Now we've seen everything.

3. Ashoke Dinda's Ronaldo moment

He might not be a patch on the Portuguese football superstar, but he certainly knows how to celebrate like him. After a brilliant performance against Hyderabad where he picked up 2/23, Ashoke Dinda tapped into his footballing alter-ego (he hails from Bengal, after all) and pulled off a celebration that Cristiano Ronaldo would have been proud of.

2. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the goal-keeper

Apart from conjuring victory out of nowhere and keeping an impassive face when the world is burning around him, is there anything Mahendra Singh Dhoni cannot do? Here he is, calmly and coolly turning into a goal-keeper to prevent Kings XI Punjab's Manan Vohra's late cut from going to the boundary.

1. The catch to top all catches?

Any description to this would frankly be insulting. So, do yourself a favour, keep your jaw firmly closed and watch the above video. The batsman was Shreyas Iyer, who skied a catch to long-on. Shane Watson and David Wiese were the chief protagonists. Now, go and watch how they temporarily turned into superheroes and pulled off an impossible catch.
