Three seasons, two domestic league titles. Bengaluru FC waltzed to the their second I-League title in three seasons with a game to spare, easily sweeping past Salgaocar FC 2-0 on Sunday to give themselves an unassailable lead on top of the table, guaranteeing themselves the title.

The Sree Kanteerava Stadium in the Garden City wore a festive look as 11,000 "West Block Blues" supporters (as Bengaluru FC's fans call themselves) assembled with their festoons and banners, expecting a title-winning victory. And they were not disappointed – it was in the seventh minute that Eugeneson Lyndoh took advantage of a loose ball and put the Blues ahead.

They held on grimly with Salgaocar failing to breach the Bengaluru defence, before Seminlen Doungel added a champagne finish to the night, drilling the ball into the net three minutes before the 90-minute mark.

At the final whistle, the celebrations rang out as Bengaluru FC's loyal set of supporters cheered vociferously. Chants of "BFC" rang in the air, as fans celebrated a title which they believed was rightfully theirs.

A huge banner, "Be Champions" was also unfurled as the Kanteerava soaked up the celebrations.
