In February, when the Jawaharlal Nehru University row was peaking, and JNU's student union president Kanhaiya Kumar was still in jail, a catchy dubstep track was released by a Chandigarh based artist Dub Sharma. It remixed Kanhaiya Kumar’s sloganeering with a dance-worthy beat, punctured with a chill Punjabi refrain.
The song now has been re-released with a music video, making it even more fun. Besides real time footage of the protests and scenes of police brutality on protesting students, it features people wearing Narendra Modi, Smriti Irani, Gyan Dev Ahuja, Anupam Kher, Commissioner of Police BS Bassi and Arnab Goswami masks. It also cuts briefly to Anupam Kher and Smriti Irani's actual footage.
The video is described on Youtube as a "tribute to the ongoing students' movement in India."
