We have already seen guns and flamethrowers on drones, so the natural question that followed – at least for the farmers in Finland – was, why not keep putting dangerous implements on flying objects? Their weapon of choice is the chainsaw. And, as if the very image of a flying chainsaw was not scary enough, the farmers went ahead and christened the robot "killerdrone."

The drone-from-your-nightmares manages to chug along pretty well even with a piece of heavy machinery attached to it, careening through the snowy Finnish landscape. The video then shows it being put to work, cutting icicles that had formed outside windows and doing the important work of destroying snowmen.

Killerdrone probably isn't as scary as it looks, since chainsaws usually need the person holding them to put plenty of pressure for anything that offers more resistance than a snowman. And the nightmare machine also got what seemed like a very appropriate dreamlike ending after it ran into a few balloons that it couldn't get past.

But even if the chainsaw-drone isn't going to turn autonomous and kill us all, at least we can be rest assured that someone, somewhere is thinking up other incredibly dangerous things that can now be mounted on flying objects.
