The current men's World No.1 tennis player Novak Djokovic might be in some hot water for making some controversial comments about male tennis players deserving higher pay than their female counterparts – which led to an apology – but that didn't prevent him from being featured on one of America's favourite talk-shows, The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
In one segment, DeGeneres and Djokovic lined up in front of a tennis board to practise a few shots. There was one particular twist to it – there were eight circles on the board with Djokovic's face on all of them.
"Why is it only my face?" wondered Djokovic.
"Because it's a game we're calling 'Smash Your Face'!" replied DeGeneres.
But the Serb picked up the game quickly, smashing quite a few of the plates and then guffawing, "I never knew how much I enjoyed smashing my own face!"
There was time for Djokovic to show off his charismatic side as well. He invited a woman from the audience and asked her to help him. However, the women hit a horrible shot, spraying it wide. But the world no. 1 had an answer for that as well: "This tells me one thing...she really likes my face!"
