At the 2015 Oscar ceremony, Lady Gaga performed a medley of songs from the 'Sound of Music' as a tribute to the classic on its 50th anniversary. The performance won all-round praise, Julie Andrews loved it, and so did the UK cast of the musical – who decided to make a tribute of their own for Gaga (video above).

Though filmed last spring, according to the videographer Anton Belmonté, this video wasn't meant for public consumption.

"It wasn't supposed to be released. I'm not sure how it has actually come out as it wasn't initially approved by the Rodgers and Hammerstein estate," he told Gay Star News. "I'm shocked how it suddenly appeared online..."

Gaga's songs adapt well to the Sound of Music, Maria sings Paparazzi, Liesl and Rolf dance to Edge Of Glory, and the wedding scene is set to Bad Romance.

Lady Gaga is thrilled with the tribute.
