It's called The Spaceship, but it looks like one could land in it.

Apple's new 2.8-million-square-foot campus in Cupertino, California, is nearing completion. The futuristic space (except the future may have caught up with the present), designed in part by Steve Jobs has been a subject of curiosity since its construction was announced.

Aerial views of it have appeared regularly, but none as revealing as in the video above. Shot by Bay Area videographer Duncan Sinfield, the clip offers the first look inside the massive headquarters, including those of an underground auditorium.

Okay, but what's the big deal, guys?

It's impressive, but the doughnut-shaped set-up doesn't exactly evoke the kind of excitement that the iPhone did at launch.

The British firm Foster+Partners is the architect. According to Norman Fosters, founder and CEO of Foster+Partners, Jobs had requested to be considered part of the team, rather than just a client.

The building is expected to be finished by the end of 2016. Luckily, the iPhone 7 will be revealed earlier.

One more thing. There will be six kilometres of glass.
