“Who do you live for?” young Naru asks in Mangesh Hadawale’s short film Chalo Jeete Hain. The question takes over Naru’s mind after he reads Swami Vivekananda’s words “Wahi jeete hain jo doosron ke liye jeete hain.”
Naru is short for Narendra Modi. The slickly produced film is “inspired from the early life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, according to a press note from the makers. Produced by Mahaveer Jain and Bhushan Kumar, Chalo Jeete Hain was screened at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday for President Ram Nath Kovind.
The 32-minute film will be premiered on the Star network and Hotstar on July 29.
