Six years after Uri: The Surgical Strike, Aditya Dhar returns with Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy working undercover in Pakistan. The Hindi film also stars Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt.
The movie is reportedly inspired by actual events. Madhavan plays India’s National Security Advisor, seemingly modelled on Ajit Doval. The trailer, which is over four minutes long, is packed with dialogue aimed at underlining the barbarism of the Pakistani security establishment. Singh’s character vows to, and does, blow everything up in response.
The film will be out in cinemas on December 5.
