Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat on Monday inaugurated a three-day lecture series at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi and said the aim of the event was to “share the idea of RSS with everyone”. In an address to a crowd comprising religious leaders, actors, athletes, musicians, and envoys, he described the Hindutva group as a unique and incomparable organisation.
Bhagwat was addressing the crowd at an event called the “Future of Bharat: An RSS Perspective”. He will speak on all three days and present the Sangh’s views on issues of national importance.
Claiming that the Sangh continues to remain misunderstood after all these years, Bhagwat spoke about the life and contributions of RSS founder KB Hedgewar, and praised Sangh workers for contributing to social welfare. The RSS has emerged as a force to be reckoned with, said Bhagwat, and it does not seek publicity. No organisation in India can match its high standards, he said.
Bhagwat described the Congress party’s contributions during the country’s freedom struggle and said it gave India many great personalities, reported PTI. “The work RSS does is incomparable,” he added.
