A 19-year-old student has accused three men of kidnapping and raping her in Mahendragarh district of Haryana on Thursday, reported NDTV.
The complainant said in the first information report that she fell unconscious after two men from her village offered her a glass of water while she was on her way to a coaching class, The Indian Express reported. “They took me into their car near a well,” she said. “When I regained consciousness, another boy was already there. I started crying. All three of them gave me another laced drink. After drinking it, I fell unconscious and all three raped me. Then they dropped me near the Kosli bus stand.”
The complainant said one of the men called her parents. “My brother picked me from the bus stand,” she added.
“The moment we received a complaint, we promptly initiated action and registered an FIR,” Rewari Superintendent of Police Rajesh Duggal said. However, he added that since the alleged crime took place in Mahendragarh district, the Rewari Police handed over the case to the police in that district.
Haryana Additional Director General of Police AS Chawla said that the police have named three men in the FIR, ANI reported. “We are after the three accused to arrest them,” Chawla said. “Medical tests have been done on the complainant.”
Mahendragarh Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar said raids were being conducted in Rewari and Mahendragarh districts as well as neighbouring areas, reported PTI.
