The Jharkhand Police arrested four people, including a minor, on Tuesday for allegedly raping a teenage girl in West Singhbhum district, PTI reported. According to police, the girl, her sister along with two friends were walking towards Chaibasa-Hatgamariah Main Road in Talaburu when the four people intercepted them near a railway crossing.
The four men assaulted the girls and dragged one of them into a forested area nearby and allegedly raped her. Superintendent of Police G Kranthi Kumar said the girl was found in Talaburu jungle.
Kumar said the police traced the four people with the help of the Talaburu village chief and villagers. The police officer added that the girl has been sent to Sadar Hospital in Ranchi for a medical examination.
