Gunmen abducted and killed three foreign nationals, including an Indian, working in Afghanistan’s Kabul on Thursday morning, Tolo News reported. No militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

The other victims have been identified as a Malaysian and a Macedonian. Their bodies were found in Kabul’s Mussahi district. The three worked as cooks with international food and catering services company Sodexo.

“They were shot dead and their bodies were found inside a car,” said Nusrat Rahimi, deputy spokesman for the interior ministry, was quoted by Reuters as saying. Police said that the men were abducted on the eastern outskirts of Kabul and found in the southern part of Kabul province, Reuters reported.

The Union Ministry of External Affairs condemned the incident “in the strongest terms”, reported ANI. The ministry said that the Indian Embassy in Kabul was in touch with Afghan authorities and the company, and that the embassy was helping to repatriate the body to India.

The Indian was 39 years old, while the Macedonian national was 37 and the Malaysian was 64.
