Suspected militants abducted a special police officer from his home in Tral region of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday. The officer has been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Lone, Greater Kashmir reported quoting a police official.
“SPO is missing since last [Friday] night and we have launched massive manhunt to trace him,” said Superintendent of Police (Awantipora) Mohammad Zahid Malik. Lone was posted at a police post in Reshipora in Awantipora.
On July 21, a police constable abducted by suspected militants from his home in Kulgam district’s Muthalhama village was found dead with several bullet wounds in Qaimoh town. On July 7, the body of a police constable, who was abducted by suspected militants, was found in Kulgam district.
