An Air China flight from Paris to Beijing on Thursday returned to the French capital after the carrier received information about a “terror threat”, AFP reported. China’s state news agency Xinhua released a statement saying that threat was believed to be a false alarm.
According to Flight tracker service FlightRadar24, the airline tweeted about the change in schedule and “terror threat” to flight CA876 after it took off. Air China claimed all passengers and crew on board were safe and that the company would accommodate them on a rescheduled flight as soon as possible.
A video purportedly from inside the plane after landing shows police and sniffer dogs on board the flight and passengers leaving the aircraft, South China Morning Post reported.
