At least 14 people were injured when a man wielding a knife attacked passengers on a bus in the German city of Lübeck on Friday. Two people were seriously wounded in the attack, local newspaper Lübecker Nachrichten said.
Police spokesperson Duerk Duerbrook said the attack occurred in the Kuecknitz district of the city and a suspect has been arrested, The Independent reported.
The police department in Schleswig-Holstein, the state where Lübeck is located, said they have dispatched several officials to the area. “There is currently a major police deployment in Lübeck,” the police force tweeted. “We are examining the situation and will give more information later.
