Thirteen Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were injured when their mini bus crashed into a truck parked near Birma Bridge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur on Thursday, ANI reported.
A police officer said that the bus driver fled the spot soon after the accident, reported GNS.
The injured pilgrims were taken to District Hospital and their condition is said to be stable, Udhampur MP and Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh said on Twitter. Singh said most of the pilgrims are from Jhansi and surrounding parts of Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, two pilgrims died after suffering a cardiac arrest near the cave shrine, and another was killed in a road accident in Pulwama district, The Hindu reported on Wednesday.
