The Common Admission Test for entry to the Indian Institutes of Management and other major business schools in the country will be held on December 4, CAT convenor Rajendra K Bandi announced on Saturday. Registrations for the test will be open from August 8 to September 22. The test is taken by tens of thousands of students looking to enrol in MBA programmes around the country.
The exam will be held in 138 cities around the country, and applicants can choose any four, with an order of preference. The centres will be assigned on the last date for registration to ensure that people’s choices do not get filled up early. The registration fee can be paid on the CAT website and admit cards will be available there from October 18 onwards. The result date has not been confirmed yet, but is likely to be in January 2017.
