Two soldiers and two militants were killed near the Line of Control in Kupwara district of north Kashmir’s Naugam sector on Saturday, as the Army foiled an infiltration bid. Another soldier has been injured in the gunbattle that is still underway, reported PTI.
The exchange of fire started after troops noticed suspicious movement along the LoC. Army officials said they also recovered two AK rifles, one Under Barrel Grenade Launcher and other weapons.
This is the second major infiltration bid foiled by the Army in Naugam sector this week. On July 26, four militants were killed and one was arrested. The arrested militant has been identified as Bhadur Ali, a resident of Lahore.
