Indian wrestler Narsingh Yadav, who recently tested positive for doping, filed a police complaint in Sonipat alleging that his food had been spiked, which had led to him failing a drug test, according to The Indian Express. The Wrestling Federation also backed Yadav's claims of a conspiracy, after his sparring partner and roommate Sandeep Tulsi also tested positive for drugs.
According to Yadav's complaint, the person who has been accused of spiking his food is a teenage wrestler who has represented India in junior international tournaments.
Yadav was the Indian representative in the Olympics' 74 kg freestyle wrestling category. However, he is now facing a hearing before the National Anti-Doping Agency. The Indian Olympic Association has sought to replace him with Parveen Rana.
