The Aam Aadmi Party has decided to move the Delhi High Court over the "false charges" levelled against its MLAs, reported The Indian Express. The women legislators and the party's youth will meet Home Minister Rajnath Singh to talk about the “neglect of women and child safety” in the city on Tuesday.

The Arvind Kejriwal-led party said the Delhi police is ignoring its primary duty of taking care of the city's law and order situation in its bid to target their members. Dilip Pandey, the party's Delhi convenor said, “There is a pattern to the cases filed against our legislators and also in the manner in which they are arrested. We have to expose this and hence we will bunch all the cases and approach the HC."

He said that at least one MLA was being arrested on some charge or the other every month. "We have 56 more to go. Now we also have the Punjab Police coming after us. Let the Gujarat and Goa Police come in too. I want to tell you [Modi] that you are strengthening our resolve further,” he added.

So far, 10 AAP legislators have been arrested on various charges in the past two months. After the latest arrest of Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan on July 24, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, "Modiji arrests one more AAP MLA."
