Two people were killed and 17 others wounded in a shooting at a nightclub in Florida, United States, early on Monday, according to local media reports. Club Blu Bar and Grill in Fort Meyers was hosting a "teen night" when the shooting took place around 12.30 am, local television channel Wink News reported.
The police ruled out terrorism as the cause of the attack. They said the victims were 14 and 18 years old, Reuters reported.
So far, three people have been detained for questioning, Fort Myers Police said, NBC2 reported. Witnesses said an argument at the parking lot of the club led to the shooting, The Guardian reported. Describing the scene as a "mad house", a woman told Wink News she heard at least 30 gunshots.
