One person died and at least 12 other people were injured after a bomb went off in the German city of Ansbach, near Nuremberg, reported BBC. The police believe that the person who died in the blast was the man who set off the explosive on Sunday night (local time).
The Bavarian interior ministry said the blast took place near an open air music festival, and around 2,000 people at the event have been evacuated. According to local media reports, the explosion took place near a wine bar at the entrance to the festival. According to AP, a security official said the attacker was a Syrian who had been denied asylum. This is the third time that an attack targeting civilians has taken place in the the state of Bavaria in the past week.
