At least six people were killed when perhaps three gunmen opened fire in a McDonald’s in a city mall on Friday afternoon, the German public broadcaster BR was quoted as saying by US News and World Report.
A Munich police spokeswoman told the Associated Press that there are “several dead and wounded” at the Olympia-Einkaufszentrum shopping mall in the southern German city.
As the Germany police launched a man hunt for the suspects, the city's public transport system – its trains, trams, buses and subways – were shut down.
The authorities asked residents to stay indoors until the operation was completed.
