With these three additions, India now has 35 sites on Unesco's noted list. These include 27 cultural sites, seven natural ones and one mixed site. It is also the first time that any country got three places awarded the title of a world heritage site, according to an official from the Ministry of Culture, The Hindu reported. KNP is the first mixed heritage site from India, which means it has both natural and cultural importance.
