Jammu and Kashmir lawmaker Jitendra Singh on Monday said Delhi has enough information about Pakistan's role in aiding and abetting trouble in the state, reported NDTV. Singh is also the minister of state in the Prime Minister's Office. As many as 23 people have died and hundreds have been injured over the past three days in clashes that erupted after Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhani Wani was killed by Indian forces on Friday.

About Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif criticism of Indian security personnel’s alleged use of “excessive and unlawful force” against civilians, the Union minister said, "It is a long issue because they are getting support from the neighbourhood. Aiding, abetting, funding, training terrorism has been going on." The country's statement was criticised by spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs Vikas Swarup as well.

While Azad, who is also a former chief minister of the state, said restoration of law and order is the need of the hour, party chief Sonia Gandhi said there can be no compromise in matters related to national security.
