Police have filed an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party legislator Prakash Jarwal for harassment, ANI reported, after a woman registered a complaint at Delhi's Greater Kailash station. Jarwal was booked for assault with intent to outrage modesty, criminal intimidation as well as act intended to insult a woman's modesty, reported India Today. He was arrested in May 2014 for abusing a junior engineer of the Delhi Jal Board.
This comes soon after AAP MLA Dinesh Mohaniya was arrested for harassing a woman, and party leader Ashish Khetan was booked by Punjab Police for hurting religious sentiments. A third party member, Naresh Yadav, was named in a case related to the desecration of the Quran. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Principal Secretary, Rajendra Kumar, was also arrested this week in a corruption case.
