India's stint at the Six Nations Invitational Hockey Tournament came to a close on Sunday, with a 1-1 draw against Spain in Valencia. They ended the league in the fifth spot.
A penalty stroke by Pau Quemada in the 10th minute gave Spain the lead. However, India fought right back at the start of the second, with veteran player VR Raghunath hitting home from a penalty corner in the 18th minute.
India failed to score again as Spain defended vigorously. The score remained 1-1 when the final hooter went off.
The team finished with a single win in the tournament, over the Republic of Ireland. They lost the games against Germany and New Zealand.
