Twenty-three year old B Sai Praneeth entered the final of the Canada Open after defeating France's Brice Leverdez 22-20, 19-21, 21-12 in their semi-final clash of the Canada Open in Calgary on Saturday.
There was more good news for India as the Indian men's doubles pair of B Sumeeth Reddy and Manu Attri also defeated Andrei Adistia and Adam Dong (Xingyu) 21-15, 21-19 in their semi-final match.
However, top seed Ajay Jayaram lost in the other singles semi-final to Lee Hyun Il 21-9, 21-8. Praneeth will met Lee Hyun Il in the final on Sunday, while Reddy and Attri will meet the Canadian pair of Adrian Liu and Toby Ng.
