The second highest-paid female athlete in the world, Maria Sharapova, banned from tennis for two years for a doping violation, will spend that time doing a business degree, according to her Facebook feed.
The Russian tennis star posted a picture on her official Facebook page of herself at the Harvard Business School in Boston. The caption said, "Not sure how this happened but Hey Harvard! Can't wait to start the program."
The five-time Grand Slam winner announced in March that she had tested positive for the banned substance meldonium. She was subsequently given a two-year suspension by the International Tennis Federation, which she planned to appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
