Entrepreneur Sussanne Khan, who was booked by the Goa Police on Saturday after a real estate company accused her of falsely claiming to be an architect to win a contract, has said the complaint is “false, motivated and preposterous". She accused Mudhit Gupta of Emgee Properties of intimidating and pressuring her to withdraw the arbitration proceedings that she had started to recover her dues.
“This is with reference to news appearing in a section of media where it has been reported that I have cheated Emgee Enterprises and misrepresented that I am an architect…Such complaints do not scare me rather it encourages me to stand up for the truth. The allegations in the complaints are false and defamatory and I will take appropriate proceedings in accordance with law,” she told Indian Express.
On Saturday, the police had named her in the Rs 1.87 crore cheating case related to a property being developed in Siridao, a village in north Goa. The company and Khan had signed a written contract in 2013.
