The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors 93-89 in Game 7 of the NBA Finals in Oakland on Sunday to win the championship for the first time in their history. The Cavaliers defeated Warriors 4-3 in the seven-game finals.
LeBron James of the Cavaliers was named the Most Valuable Player of the finals after scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. This is the first major sports championship that a Cleveland team has won since 1964.
An emotional James could not control his tears at the end and said, "I set myself a goal when I came back two years ago to bring a championship to this city."
