India took an unassailable 2-0 lead against Zimbabwe in the three-match One-Day International series, defeating the hosts by eight wickets in Harare on Monday. India needed less than 27 overs to chase down Zimbabwe's 126 and lost only two wickets in the process.
Zimbabwe, put in to bat again, collapsed to 39/3, before recovering to 106/3. However, the hosts lost their last seven wickets for just 20 runs and were bowled out for 126. Vusi Sibanda scored 56 for Zimbabwe, Yuzvendra Chahal impressed with figures of 3/26 for India.
The tourists were largely untroubled in their chase. Karun Nair got a reprieve after he was dismissed off a no-ball, but remained steady thereafter, getting dismissed right at the end for a patient 68-ball 39. KL Rahul, after his debut century in the last match, was looking good initially, but played on and was bowled for just 33. Ambati Rayudu remained not out on a 44-ball 41.
