A new WhatsApp update will now let users quote messages when replying. Long-pressing a message in any conversation will introduce a new reply option alongside copy and starring it. Choosing the reply option makes the message appear as a quote. People who receive the quoted message will see it in a new box along with a caption. If the quoted message contains a picture, the image will also be seen as a preview to the person it is sent to.
The feature has been introduced in group chats and one-on-one chats. WhatsApp is now rolling out the update for most users across Android and iOS running the general release builds from Google Play and the App Store.
